Well, this daily achievement is off topic of my routine, and is geared more towards a long term goal that we have been striving for. Today, well actually just now, hubby and I have finished pulling all the boxes out of our closet and going through them all.

When we moved in a year ago, we didn’t have much time or storage space, so a lot of boxes just got shoved into the closet to get be out of the way while we prepared our room for the birth of my son. Today, hubby just wanted to get it done, so in one go we pulled everything out box by box and went through it as we went. Clothes upon more clothes was pulled out and donated. We found most of our winter clothes, so we had to keep those, but all the rest that were too small, extras, or just not liked were donated. A total of two very large trash bags full of clothes which will be dropped off tomorrow.

Then we found a huge box of cookware – pans, knives, and bowls. So, that’s where those went. Yay!

I also found all my shoes. Yes, I am one of those girls that has shoes upon shoes upon shoes. However I am turning over a new leaf and only keeping five pairs of those shoes; 2 black fancy shoes, 1 beige fancy shoes, 1 sandal, and 1 pair of snow boots. Oh and of course my sneakers, but those weren’t in the boxes we found, I have been wearing those. Also, I am keeping only one pair of slippers. Yay me!

So, I still have to cut down the wardobe I am keeping, but still in due time. I think that it is a major achievement on my part to be purging what I have so far. Kudos for me.
